How do we allocate our soccer fees? - Indoor 2022/23 Budget (Updated: Sept 2022)

As part of our club mandate in being as transparent as possible, please refer to the attached PDF Pie Chart showing a breakdown in distribution of registration fee revenue. The pie chart for registration fee breakdown does not include some miscellaneous club items - as we just kept it geared towards our services to players/teams/coaches. As an example, Club Office & Storage rent/expenses, Team Snap/Website expenses and Advertising/Marketing budgets, which roughly make up 12% when included.

Fee Assistance

The Edmonton Drillers will work with families to assist with fees when necessary.

Ask your coach and manager about our Youth Soccer Waiver or Fee Reduction Request form. This form can be filled out by the family and submitted to the Board of Directors through recommendation from the Team Manager/Coaches. The club can potentially reduce or waive registration fees in certain circumstances. The club requests that families submitting for these means also apply for Jumpstart and KidSport (or indicate if they do not qualify and details).

We also work with families to set up payment installments. Up to 3 installments available on TeamSnap, any additional installments are available but require Board of Director approval.

The Drillers will work with parents to help submit application for assistance from the following programs:

Kidsport Alberta will cover up to $250 per player per calendar year.

Jumpstart can cover up to $300 per player submission ($600 yearly).

Policies

Refund Policy

The Drillers current policy for fee refunds is no refund once the player has accepted a position on the team. The only exception to this rule is if there is a medical reason, which has developed since the player accepted a position on the team, which prohibits that player from continuing to play. A letter from a medical doctor must be provided to the club in order to obtain the refund. While we can appreciate that personal circumstances may change we have set this policy because it is impossible to properly plan and operate as a club without such a policy in place. Withdrawal from a team after accepting a position puts the club and team in the unfortunate situation of not being able to fill the position with another player.

Fee Payment Policy

Once a player has accepted a spot on a team, all fees and supporting cheques are required.  Registration fee payment plans are available to all families. Please contact your team manager or the club administrator for further details.

Field Conditions

Below are the corresponding websites and phone numbers to inquire about field conditions.

Note:

-If the fields are closed you do not have to go to the field.

-If the fields are open you must go to the field and the referee will determine if the field is safe to play.

-The game sheet must be submitted in ramp stating from the referee why the game wasn’t played.

-Turf fields arrive at the field and the referee will decide if it safe to play- games can be played in the rain on turf.

PUSHA/Ivor Dent fields will be creating a field line on their website shortly. EIYSA will advise all coaches if fields are closed until this is available on their website. They are open until advised differently. EIYSA will advise once PUSHA has something available for coaches to access themselves to follow regular protocols.
