U12 - U19 Competitive Program

The Competitive stage will continue to build on all the foundational knowledge and abilities they have developed while entering into more structured and competitive training and league environments.  This stage also places more emphasis on advanced strategy and tactics that can be incorporated due to their continued technical improvements.  As the players move through and graduate out of this stage there is potential for both Provincial and National Competition, University and College team selection, and finally continued play through the Adult leagues as a life long player of the game.

Beginning in Indoor 2022/23, the Drillers will now be a part of the Edmonton Minor Soccer Association (EMSA) - which will be a positive step for soccer in the greater Edmonton area with club soccer under one organization!

Now being under EMSA, this will only further the opportunities for our club to proper player and team development by offering BOTH girls and boys Tier 1 & Tier 2 Elite programs and Tier 3 Competitive programs that constantly strives for character and technical development, fair play and a higher level of progression and achievement. Our mandate is to provide players with the most appropriate level of play for their development! (Ex. Ranging from Tier 1 to Tier 3)

In this past Outdoor 2023 season, along with our 4-5 permanent Grassroots Assistant coaches, we also have a rotational schedule in which our U15 to Adult (Men & Women) teams have player coaches assisting in for our Grassroots sessions, including Jamborees. We hope to try to implement this a bit in indoor, however due indoor facility schedules and winter driving it will be less often than the summer.

We believe this to be an important element of the program, tying together our club from youngest to oldest ages. This is demonstrated through our senior players getting the opportunity to give back to the club as positive mentors to our up and coming Grassroots players, while also giving them introductory coaching experiences, creating the culture that makes one proud to be a DRILLER!
